Guess what we did today?…. Well remember I promised Times Square I’d be back, well I like to keep my promises and oh what a promise to keep.
We took a taxi to Times Square and started on one corner called Lot 10 and had lunch in the basement which was what we expect real China to be like as it was Chinese food everywhere, it was yummy!
Lot 10 although had about 5 levels was quite small as it was being renovated and had really just had some local shops and a 1Setanta which is similar to Myers so nothing really exciting so we went next door.
Fahrenheit 88 was my favorite mall as it had local brands and a whole floor dedicated to shoes and bags, which Merv had to stop me from entering on our way to have a coffee and synchronize our watches for when I’m supposed to meet him and then I could be let loose.
After my time was up and I’d purchased a top, dress and lash extension mascara that is so amazing we headed across the street to Pavillion which is literally Whitfords, Karrinyup, Carousel and Garden City all stacked on top of each other and mushed together filled with every major brand name you can think of! (even a car shop where you could buy Ferraris and Hummers)
If I wasn’t travelling around the world for a year I would seriously have spent all my money here especially because being the shoe lover that I am my favorite shoe designer is Giuseppe Zanotti and I found a whole store!
I made Merv come with me so I wouldn’t buy anything although every single shoe in the shop is absolutely stunning and easily could have gone home with me if I had like a gazillion dollars but I didn’t want to tease (torture) myself and politely declined the offer of trying a shoe on and asked really nicely for a brochure that was easily worth a pair of shoes from home and left the store with a tear in my eye making another promise that I would own a pair one day!
We synchronized our watches again and met up an hour later and I’d seriously had enough of this place, so many beautiful things and I couldn’t afford them so kindly asked Merv to take me back to Fahrenheit 88 where things were affordable but decided to get a manicure and pedicure instead while Merv read a couple magazines.
Afterwards we grabbed some dinner and left at about 9:30pm (yes we had spent an entire day there) walked a little to check out Times Square (The fourth corner was Starhill Gallery and totally out of my league) at night and jumped in a cab and back to the hotel for a good night sleep dreaming of shoes!!!
OH MY GOD!!! how stunning! and that shopping mall almost every girls dream! keep dreaming of shoes Toni as i am sure you will find even more on your next stop to Duabi, which i cannot wait to read all about 🙂 xx
Heya Toni,
Looks like another suitcase needed for all your shooz!
You both seem to be having a great time!
M
Hey Mike having a great time and only bought three small light pairs so no danger of needing another suitcase yet. It sure is nice to look at them though. xxx
