Castle de Santa Severa with Tour operator Jojo

Castle de Santa Severa Italy
May 11, 2012 by Merv Barrett

Our wonderful host Jojo decided to take us out for a drive first to the local markets to pickup some fresh vegetables for a wonderful lunch she planned to make us. we set off to the beach and ended up visiting a historic castle built by Pyrgi people who from discovery this is one of the only lasting castles they had built and to this day archeologist are still trying to figure out what happened.

The castle is on the waters edge and is an impressive sight overlooking the beach. We weren’t allowed to tour the castle but had the chance to visit the grounds and read the information about the ancient people who lived here. Photos after the break.
